This is our Privacy Statement which outlines how we obtain, use and keep your personal data safe when using the Symbaiosys (Trillion Tree Fund Portal) website (symbaiosys.ai).

Data we collect

When creating an account with Symbaiosys you will need to provide the following:

  • Your first and last name
  • Your email address
  • Whether you are registering as an institutional investor or an investable opportunity
  • Your institution or organization’s name
  • Your role within the institution/organization

When submitting a project to our Nature Database you will need to provide the following:

  • Organization details: Organization name, its headquarters, the type of organization, and its size (Assets Under Management)
  • Project details: Project’s name, project’s city, state, and country, its size in hectares, the Latitude and Longitude coordinates of the project, a description about the opportunity
  • Further project details: Its financial asset class, its natural asset class, its returns profile, a link to the organization’s sustainability profile, the types of tree species being planted and their corresponding numerical amounts
This collection of information is necessary for the administration of our business and the provision of our services, which is necessary for the legitimate interests of our business.
How long we retain your data
Membership
We will keep hold of your data for no longer than necessary. The length of time we retain it will depend on the length of time that you are subscribed to our services. In the event that you decide to unsubscribe from your membership, your details will be kept for 12 months at most before it being deleted.
Enquiries
Unless consent is provided for future contact during your enquiry, we will keep your information as long as is required to respond and complete your enquiry, and for a further of 12 months, before deleting your information.
Information usage and third-party accessibility

Personal data collected is used for the following reasons:

  • To send you newsletters encompassing recent updates on the Opportunities Database or our Privacy Policy

Currently, Symbaiosys does not share any of your personal data with third parties. This information is kept strictly confidential and secure. In the future, however, there is a possibility of us using automated email services.
Any changes made in regard to third-party accessibility of your personal data will be updated within this privacy policy and you will be accordingly notified to any changes made.

Symbaiosys maintains a strictly high standard for keeping your personal data secure through following generally accepted industry standards. These standards are followed from the moment the personal information is submitted to us and continues to apply after it has been submitted and received. This will also be the case for the standard 12-month duration that we retain your personal information in the event that you decide to cancel your subscription or in the circumstance where you submit an enquiry (see: “How long we retain your data”).

Therefore, while we endeavor to use all possible commercially acceptable means to protect your security, we cannot guarantee this with absolute certainty. (Please note, as stated before, that Symbaiosys currently does not share any personal data with third parties, however this is subject to change where you will be notified accordingly).​
